How Does Internet Advertising Work, and What is Ad Arbitrage? Publishers on the internet often integrate advertisements into their site to generate revenue from their users. In this model, publishers serve advertisements and buy traffic for their website, usually through display advertising, with the ultimate goal of generating more in advertising revenue than they spend on display advertising. This is called ad arbitrage. For a site like Uglek, ad arbitrage is a challenging goal. I only have a few users from organic search, and I don't yet have enough content to make a profit from the site. By my calculations, I need about 900 posts to make a profit from my website. Some days advertising on this website is especially lucrative, while the site doesn't make money every day. I hope to put enough content on here that I will eventually be able to pay for display advertising and I will generate more revenue from ads served on my site than I spend on advertising. Ad arbitrage is my goal. I will continue to post articles, media, and more to the site as I build my portfolio here. I hope that others will do the same, and we can build a professional, social community here. I also plan to post more games here and have a library of playable online games, single-player and multiplayer, which run through this server. My aim for this site is to create a great user experience and post high-quality content. Creating enough content to make the site lucrative will take time, but I have patience and will continue to work at it. It takes a lot of motivation and effort to make a site like this and create quality content for it. This probably isn't the easiest way to make money on the internet, but I anticipate that my efforts will pay off in the long run through ad arbitrage.
Keyword Research - The Most Important Task for Your SEO Campaign If you are entering the world of online marketing and if you have a business or a website on the Internet, one thing is certain, in order to enjoy the fruits of your labor and receive coveted organic search traffic, you must get your website to the top of search engines. This is where keyword research comes in. Keyword research is the most important task for your SEO campaign because without knowing what people are searching on Google, Bing, or Yahoo in order to find a solution to their problems, you would be wasting time and money. The first step is understanding your audience which means identifying keywords that should trigger relevant content based on popular search terms. To search for popular keywords, you can use a keyword research tool like Google Trends. If your website is well-designed, SEO optimized and contains content that answers questions about the problems your audience is facing, you will be rewarded with more organic traffic which means a higher ranking on search engines. Keyword research also referred to as keyword research and keyword optimization is considered to be one of the critical elements for a website's success and for good rankings in search engines. Keyword research and keyword optimization are not only the foundation for excellent SEO practices but also the most important task for the optimized site because no site can survive without a sufficient supply of highly targeted site traffic. Traffic from search engines is usually the most targeted because it consists of people searching for what you are writing about. Some companies suffer from having spent less than enough time and energy on research. The result of this oversight could be the difference between a site with an average ranking or one at the top, hence receiving more traffic. Keyword research should start as soon as possible - preferably before you have typed out your first word - because it can be a powerful way to drive new users to the site as well as bring returning users back. The best keywords will be the ones that are best tuned and personalized for the products and services on your website, to help it become more user-friendly and easier to find.
My payment run for Ditto Music from my two profiles Jasper Camber and Intersex was yesterday. Jasper Camber made $66.63 for 33,511 streams, which comes out to $0.00198830234 per stream. My cost per stream was $0.000698 so I made $0.00129030234 per stream. This means I made about $43.24 in adjusted profit from this profile. My other profile, Intersex, made $70.49 for 37,677 streams, which comes out to $0.00187090267 per stream. This means I made an adjusted profit of $0.00117290267 per stream and $44.19 for these streams. I made $87.43 so far in royalties from January, and my next payment run, from RouteNote, will be on the 15th. I have about 210,000 weekly streams so I am making about $1,035 this month, which I will be paid for in July. Attached is a photo of my total earnings breakdown so far from Jasper Camber (in pounds). Thanks for reading about my earnings. I hope this is interesting to you.
Once again it is coming up on my payment runs from Ditto and RouteNote. I will be paid my Spotify royalties from my three profiles, Intersex, Jasper Camber and Jean Jasper. I had a lot of streams in the last week, and my weekly popularity is increasing. I am releasing more content every month and will continue to build my profiles with instrumental and vocal music. I'll post more about my payment run and let you know how much I make when it happens. I'm not sure when this will be yet, but it's usually around the first to second weekend of the month from Ditto, so I might be paid the 9th or 12th. I will be able to see my royalties on RouteNote on the 15th and they will be paid out by the 18th. Attached is a screenshot of my Spotify stream counts for Jasper Camber. This is my most popular profile, with over 100000 streams this week. I'm really excited to be in the music business because it's an opportunity to make money independently and do what I enjoy. It pays to work hard and invest in myself and I'm looking forward to where this takes me. There's an awesome future ahead.
I received my royalties from RouteNote over PayPal today. This totaled $64.72, some of which was from a year ago or longer. This is an awesome step for my early content, and it's great to see people appreciate the music. These royalties are mostly coming from one song, Overture, and I plan to continue promoting this song. I will post updates here about how the payments runs go as they happen. My next payment run will be early next month, which already isn't so far away.
Before I migrated over to the new version of this site, I had a contact list of 91 emails registered with Uglek. I sent out an email to those people asking them to create a new account and see the new changes on the site, and letting them know what's going on with the accounts. I hope people will sign up for the site again, I know it's a bother having to confirm your email but it really helps keep the site secure and I couldn't make it secure any better way. The captcha and email verification are what keeps the site only available to real people like you and me.
I was paid for the month of December in which I had 35,535 streams on the profile Jasper Camber and made £78.33 (British Pounds). This means I was paid 0.00220430561 pounds per play or 0.31 cents per play. This is better than my last payment, at about 0.3 cents per play. Attached is a breakdown of how many streams I had in my top countries. I hope this information about how artists are paid is interesting to you.
User Acquisition Strategy for Independent Website Creators Users are the foundation of Uglek, and many other media and content websites across the internet. Uglek has a simple user acquisition strategy: Be canonical. Its posts have a tendency to show up in search engines because they are well indexed and the site is SEO optimized. Below is a graphic of Ugleks users over the last seven days. As you can see, the site is getting between 3 and 7 organic search users per day. That means people are seeing Uglek posts in search results, just the way I intended with the site. And it only gets better. I only have about 30 500+ word posts on the site so far, and adding about 20 more should easily double the users I get from organic search. With a diversity of content, I will build this website into a portfolio of my work and gain new users and listeners from organic search traffic. To clarify, organic search traffic is when someone clicks a google search listing, enters the site, and interacts with it. I get organic search traffic by registering my site to Google Search Console and submitting my sitemap URL into the search. I have done this for Bing and Yahoo too, as ranking in searches is important. It's probably the easiest way to get users if you have the technical know-how. All it requires is some SEO optimizations and good content with keywords that are relevant. Keywords should also be not too dense, and in a specific niche that doesn't have too much competition. Other users on Uglek found the site through social media or even another site, though the site doesn't gain very many users from these sources yet. I'm not sure how to encourage people to post here, I suppose it will be easier when there are more users and more content on here. For now, I want to focus on building up the content and growing my user base. Hopefully, I will be able to create a successful business out of this site, or at least gain some followers and users. When it is safe to do so, I want to start busking again and try to promote this site and my other one as well as my music too. In the past, that has been a great way of making money and gaining a following easily. Eventually, when I have enough content, I will use paid advertising such as Google, Facebook, and Instagram ads to promote this site. These ads often lead to high retention users, and I could build a user base for this site using paid advertising. I want to make this site into a social community of the internet so I need to find users when I have enough content to monetize the site. I'm not going to pay to advertise the site just yet though. For now, I'm going to focus on growing slowly from organic searches and making music as well as improving the user experience of this site. I think it's already gotten a lot better, and it can only get better from here. Thanks for sticking with me so far. Below is a picture of my Google Analytics user acquisition data. As you can see, organic searches are bringing users to the site.
Digital Marketing for Independent Creators Digital marketing can be a challenge for the up and coming independent creator. Whether you're trying to market your content to a large audience and make money from it, encourage users to make their own content and distribute it through your software, or you run any other sort of website, digital marketing is a challenge to execute properly. This is because so many of the major companies in the digital marketing area take a lot of the revenue from publishers and advertisers. Companies like Google, Facebook and Twitter charge significant amounts, starting at $0.01 per click, to market goods and services. Additionally, digital micro-transactions like music streams and ad views only pay fractions of a cent. This makes it a challenge to make money from the major revenue streams where a lot of people are making money. Despite many of the large digital marketing seeing little profits for Independent musicians such as myself, smaller digital marketing agencies can often help. I use a site called StreamingFamous.com to promote my music, a relatively small company based in London. This company provides listeners for my music at an affordable price which allows me to grow. They can provide them at a good speed too, almost 200,000 streams per week. This also leads to revenue from my website, because users go from my spotify profile to the website and see more content. While it is a good idea to look to smaller companies for help in digital marketing, the larger services to have their place as well. They come at an economy of scale: With 100 page views a week I might make 13 cents, but that might cost me 50 cents in advertising with Google Ads to achieve. However, if I can get enough pages and enough page views on this site (really engaged users), I could make $1.30 per week for the same investment. This doesn't seem like a lot, but as I get more users interacting with this site and using it, I should be able to make real money from the site. In conclusion, digital marketing is a challenging yet achievable task for an upcoming independent creator. It's important to know where to look for services and help, and it's especially important to know when to use them. I'm holding off on advertising this site until I have more content, because I want users to be able to spend time on the site and see what sort of stuff is here before they post on their own. Having seed content is important. The picture below is my stream counter for the last week. Are you a digital marketer or does your business use digital marketing? Let me know in the comments.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average and Dow Jones Crude Stock Index Dow Jones is one of the most widely used stock market indexes today. It can be found in hundreds of financial publications. Many investors use Dow Jones to guide their investments in the stock market. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, or the Dow Jones, is an index that measures the performance of 30 large corporations listed on various stock exchanges in the United States. For every company in the Dow Jones Industrial Average (Dow Jones) there is information available on its financial strength, market share, financial risk, current outlook, and possible future growth and profit. These financial data are compiled into a composite bottom line called the Dow Jones Average. Dividing the total of all the scores by the percentage of shares outstanding provides the Dow Jones Percentage, which is a good indicator of the health of a company's stock price. There are many factors that affect the performance of the Dow Jones Average. Speculators, short-term traders, and institutional investors buy and sell stocks according to their view of the company's potential for growth and profit. All of these forces combine to affect the direction and performance of the Dow Jones Average. For example, if there is a panic in the financial markets and banks begin to pull back from making major loans and buying large amounts of stocks, it can cause a sharp fall in the Dow Jones Average. If, on the other hand, there are plenty of buyers, stocks will begin to increase in value. Another way of looking at the Dow Jones Average is to look at its annualized return on equity. This is what would be the value of the company in a given year, compared to its current market value. If the return on equity is higher than the rate of growth of the company, that indicates that the company is doing well, though not exactly by the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The Dow has proven to be a reliable gauge of overall stock market performance, particularly over the last ten years. However, if you were to take a look at the yearly earnings of the Dow Jones Industrial Average directly, you might find that the earnings are lower than you would expect given the fact that the Dow only increases by about a few percentage points each year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average can also be thought of as a tool for investors to use when determining whether or not to buy sell, or do nothing on any given day. If there is little or no movement on the Dow Jones Average, then that means that a sector of the stock market is doing well and the Dow Jones will reflect that fact. If there is a lot of activity on the Dow Jones average, then something is definitely happening in that sector of the economy. The general trend of the Dow Jones is an indication of how strong or weak the economy is likely to be, as well as the future direction. One interesting thing to note about the Dow Jones average is that it only includes the stocks of the largest companies in the overall stock market. These include blue-chip companies like General Electric, Microsoft, Wal-Mart, and oil refineries. It does not include the small businesses or the other types of stocks that make up a significant portion of the overall Dow Jones. Because of this, when you use the Dow Jones average to determine whether or not to buy sell, or do nothing on the Dow Jones index, you are actually looking at the total value of all stocks on the Dow Jones index, not just the largest companies. You might also find that the Dow Jones average excludes financial and industrial activities such as stock market trading, bonds, commodities, interest rates, and so forth. When looking at the total economic value of the country, it is important to include all of these things. If you want to know what the total economic value of the United States is today, then you should look at what the United States economy is doing during these economic times. While looking at the Dow Jones industrial sector, you will see that it includes stocks from large business corporations, as well as the smaller businesses that make up the remainder of the overall Dow Jones index. These two things can be used together to determine the true strength of the United States economy. Using the Dow Jones industrial sector and the Dow Jones crude index can help you get a better idea of how stable or shaky the economy might be. The more information you have about the overall state of the economy, the better prepared you will be to deal with any problems that might come up.
